“…is what I meant to say” photos and works online

Last Friday my first solo show, “…is what I meant to say” opened up to a steady crowd of visitors here in Brussels. Here are some photos from the installation. All the photos, drawings, mirrors, and the centerpiece sculpture are for sale (and very affordable if I say so myself) at the No New Enemies online shop.

They’re going quickly so check to see if there’s anything that sparks your interest. You can see more photos of the installation on their site too.

these are the stories

The drawings here might benefit from an explanation. Each one is a headline taken from this past month’s news and rewritten along with their date. As all the news go digital and print newspapers start to fail these hand written headlines make each story, many we quickly forget in order to make room for the new news, resound a bit longer while also making us question the information we’re fed and how it’s fed to us. March 20th: Chimps armed with clubs plunder beehives for honey. True story. You can’t make this shit up.

Yeah I know you probably expect me to post some photos of my show that opened on Friday night. Those will have to wait until tomorrow. Fecal Face Interview. Ask me something…

Fecal Face just posted a few days ago about a feature they’re going to be doing with me next week. There will be an interview made of questions coming from fecal readers as well as Manuel Bello who’s writing the feature. At the airport again, this time to Brussels for a two week residency and ultimately a show at Mr. Ego on the 27th.  But before I go I just want to share the last thing I bought before leaving Mexico City.
