Keep It Simple Stupid

I spent the other day exploring and painting in an abandoned mansion near Barcelona. In its heyday the estate was a decadent beach front palace. Today it has been left to complete ruins and more than a few of us have come through to leave our mark. While adding to the decay I decided to paint on a mirrored closet with a phrase to reflect on. Especially for those who once lived here.bcn_keepitsimplestupid_det2 bcn_abandonedmansion3 bcn_abandonedmansion2 bcn_abandonedmansion1 bcn_keepitsimplestupidKeep It Simple Stupid

A little bit of sign painting never hurt anyone

I recently designed and handpainted this logo on a friend’s shop in Barcelona, Grey Street. A nice change from just painting in the studio and walls.

Panot de Flor

These beautiful floor tiles paving the streets of Barcelona are called Panot de Flor (Flower Tile). I found a little history about them, in Spanish, HERE.

taking in the sights

Paris looks good.

I was invited to Paris to paint a 15m (50′) long canvas on the side of the Champs-Elysées. This is the view from where I was standing. Photo of the painting coming soon.

RIPOVISUALS.com Update

While the blog here gets a lot of attention and constant updates its sibling, the website, often feels left out. We know that one isn’t better than the other so we just gave the website a big old update in almost all sections. Don’t let the website feel left and go see how it’s doing today.
