I spent the other day exploring and painting in an abandoned mansion near Barcelona. In its heyday the estate was a decadent beach front palace. Today it has been left to complete ruins and more than a few of us have come through to leave our mark. While adding to the decay I decided to paint on a mirrored closet with a phrase to reflect on. Especially for those who once lived here.

Been a long time…
