At the airport again, this time to Brussels for a two week residency and ultimately a show at Mr. Ego on the 27th.  But before I go I just want to share the last thing I bought before leaving Mexico City.

Before showing the rest of the last wall I just want to say I’ve been drawing like mad for my upcoming No New Enemies residency throughout the second half of this month in Brussels and ultimately for my first solo show “…is what I meant to say” at the Mr. Ego artspace. The show will open up on March 27th and will exhibit a whole slew of new ink on paper drawings as well as a few other things. Keep checking back for more details and progress on the work.

Fuck the Police, Again!

September 30, 2008 · Leave a Comment

More run ins with authority figures, this time in Brussels, Belgium. After painting on Saturday in Amsterdam with some friends from No New Enemies I rushed down to Brussels on Sunday to meet up and paint  with Roa. We went out evening time to what seemed to be a chill spot. Literally 10 minutes before finishing the piece the po-po showed up. One of them was saying how beautiful he thought our work was while the other was saying that it didn’t matter and they had to bring us in. After calling the city to find out if we could paint there or not and arguing between themselves for some time they decided they needed to bring us down to the station. None of the police seemed to really know if that spot was legal and in the end decided it wasn’t, but because they liked the work they said we could go with just a warning!

The Birds, (What) We Used To Be. It was about evolution and remains an unfinished evolution.
